Hi Carolyn,

Yes, I routinely say something like "Tell Joe and Mary" followed by my message
text, and it goes to both people, so I'm sure you can include more names and
have it work.

Best,
Anna

Hello again,
If you create a group with iOS and others, others will receive answers
separately rand won’t have Global conversation.
If you have the way to do it differently tell me

Hello,

You can send messages to multiple people, regardless of whether they have
ipHones or other devices. I think there are some features of group
conversations that only work if everyone has an iOS device, though.

Best,
Anna

Hi Carolyn,

Yes, I routinely say something like "Tell Joe and Mary" followed by my message
text, and it goes to both people, so I'm sure you can include more names and
have it work.

Best,

RE: Question from a List Member Who Wants to Know how to send Group Text Messages in iOS 11.4.1

2018-08-19 Thread Carolyn Arnold
My sister does that all the time, and if any of us respond, the response comes
to all on the list.

Best regards,

Hi Richard,

Correct, I think Todd gives the example of emails and using the BCC field for
sending to a number of people but without the other people seeing the other
email addresses which they would if he used the CC field.

Of course you can send text messages to a bunch of people simply by adding
these people in the Messages app, but the names and phone numbers will be
visible to all.

Sieghard

mark, since I am one who was very glad when he lost posting rights, I'm not
willing to write him off list, but his question seemed to be about emailing not
texting, so I'm confused.

I've never seen a texting with BCC settings, but mail on the iPhone can have a
BCC field if you enable it in the mail settings.

To all:

So far, there is no way to send group text messages to many friends at
once.
For example, you can do that in Windows 10, yes, but not with iOS 11 up.

With Outlook 2013 you could send an email to many friends using the BCC
option to hide their names/email addresses. But what about iOS
11.4.1???

Does anyone on ViPhone know of a good app I could use to do the same
way as
done in Outlook?

If you on ViPhone know something, please direct your response to me by

Thank you.

Here is what I have wondered. Can I say Siri, send group messages to:

Mary Jones
John Smith
Bill Brown
Jane
White
Jack Green

Can I do that, then dictate message and she sends it?
