Re: SeeingAI and product
Here is the list of countries in which Seeing AI is available, taken from the app description: Available in the U.S., Canada, India, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore. I do not think the app isn't available in the UK because of the product bar code feature as I doubt very much those other countries have the same products as the US. In fact, it is an odd assortment of countries. I would suggest those who live in an excluded country write seein...@microsoft.com and inquire as to their reasoning. I did a little web search and while there were rumors Kroger wanted to buy Win-Dixie, I don't think it happened. Win-Dixie is owned by Southeast grocery. There is a list of what Kroger owns on another sight, and neither Win-Dixie or Southeast grocery are on that list. I think the reality is, that unless it is a national brand, it probably isn't in the bar code database. There are a lot of those smaller chains not in the ID Mate database as well. The one thing I will say for Digit-Eyes and ID Mate, is you can add a description. I wrote seeing AI and requested that feature. I hope others do as well. I have tried the barcode reader on several obscure products and have been surprised by and picking up on a few things. It found a bottle of what is called athletic greens and I was really surprised by that because my quest doesn't even know that one. I have also learned that if it says barcode not recognized to try it again because sometimes it doesn't see or read the numbers correctly and when you tried again guess what, if he finds it. Not always, but enough to make the second search worthwhile. Sorry about my grammatical errors. Chalk it up to dictate and it's too late tonight to fix it. Good night everybody. The seeing AI app recognizes stre brand products when using the product channel & scanning the bar code. I used the app to scan a baby wipe container & it was identified as a Rite Aid brand. I scanned a bottle of Ibuprophin & it was recognized as Equate Ibuprophin which is Wal-Mart brand. Donna > > > Interesting you would ask this. It was not Krogers brand but Win Dixie. Re: SeeingAI and product
You need to use the back camera. You do not have to double tap anything. Just point the camera at the package, can, or bottle, slowly rotate the package so all sides are in the camera's view. If that doesn't work on anything, then I would suspect your device has an issue. RE: SeeingAI and product
Would the soup happen to be the Kroger brand? It would seem that many Kroger products are not in their database. I'm sure other brands are not there too, but if you write to seein...@microsoft.com And tell them each time once you find out what the product actually is, there is a greater chance it will get added.
