Re: Weight watchers app

2017-12-19 Thread Teresa Christian
This morning when I opened the WW app, the "my day" worked. It had all
the info it is supposed to have.
What the meeting leader said last Friday, and I am remembering this
just now, is that things on the app might be a little slow to get
caught up. It seems like that is the case with this part of the app.
She also said that it might take a little while for things with points
such as foods you've already entered as favorites etc. might take a
little bit for that to get caught up too.
HTH, Teresa☺

Re: Weight watchers app

2017-12-18 Thread Nancy Badger
I am having a little bit of trouble finding the phone number. However, I am
going to ask my meeting later to help me find it. I think we should all call.
Remember, Weight Watchers became accessible because of a lawsuit from American
Council of the blind. So we need to keep after them. I will post the number
online when I find it.

Re: Weight Watchers APP

2017-10-31 Thread Nancy Badger
No, you do not have to have Apple Watch to use the weight watchers app.
However, you will not get an accurate step count. You will still be able to
record your food and activity but not get an accurate step count from the
watch. Let me know if you have any other questions. Sorry it took me so long to
respond.

I have found the weight watchers app to be almost completely accessible. Almost
everything reads well with voiceover. As far as how the Activity tracks, Weight
Watchers gets your Activity from your Activity app which is a native Apple app.
So you have to set up your Activity app with your watch and then it
automatically goes to Weight Watchers if you have selected it on your
activities app let me know if this doesn’t make sense and I will try for a
better exclamation.

Re: Weight Watchers APP

2017-10-21 Thread Lynn White
Yes. I am seeing these activities and now that I enabled the Health app, I’m
getting updates as Apple Health syncs with Weight Watchers.

I wish that I had looked into this earlier. My wife has been on Weight
Watchers for a long time and she has learned to control her eating and dieting.

Now, not only will this help me as I can monitor what I’m doing. But, I can be
an additional support and cheerleader for her as well.

I really do appreciate you helping me get started with this. So does Kim, my
wife.

Re: Weight Watchers APP

2017-10-21 Thread Nancy Badger
No, it sounds like you have it all set up. Now, in the weight watchers app, at
the very top, there is a foods tab and an activity tab go to the activity tab
and see what you find. You should find activity points given to you for
different activities like making a certain amount of steps etc.
Hope this helps.

Re: Weight Watchers APP

2017-10-21 Thread Lynn White
Hi Nancy,

I think I understand. I have enabled the Apple Health app and have all
categories on.

On the watch, Weight Watchers is shown to be installed and Weight Watchers is
getting all of it’s info from Apple Health.

It is showing, for instance, the number of steps and is converting those steps
to Fit points which makes me think that Wait Watchers uses Fitbit as it’s
native measure of scale.

Is there anything else that I need to do with the Apple Watch? Thanks.

Re: Weight Watchers APP

2017-10-21 Thread Nancy Badger
I have found the weight watchers app to be almost completely accessible. Almost
everything reads well with voiceover. As far as how the Activity tracks, Weight
Watchers gets your Activity from your Activity app which is a native Apple app.
So you have to set up your Activity app with your watch and then it
automatically goes to Weight Watchers if you have selected it on your
activities app let me know if this doesn’t make sense and I will try for a
better exclamation.

Well, I am in Canada, so that might make a difference.

I had issues getting stuff in braille as well, and the materials weren’t the
full package, as the sighted members paid for. Yes, it was the basics, and I
could use it, but.. really.

anyway, I hope you have luck with the app, and the program in general. It
works for lots of folks.

You don't pay if you're at goal anyway, but if you want to use the etools
portion of the program, and you're a member, it's only $14.95 for the etools
portion. I'm at goal, so I use the etools portion and go to the meetings, if I
want, for free. It motivates a person to get in shape. WW themselves will be
the most accurate as they update the program itself and then apply it to the ww

Re: Weight watchers app

2013-04-17 Thread Eileens Misrahi
Hello,

I am not sure if my response is off topic, but I will post this info about
E-Tools from Weight Watchers. I didn't know this until recently. If you are a
lifetime member and stay in your goal, then E-Tools is free as long as you stay
in goal. When you go to a center ask for the code to enter to access E-Tools.
Each code is good for 2 months. Hence, You will save 14.95 each month. HTH.

You don't pay if you're at goal anyway, but if you want to use the etools
portion of the program, and you're a member, it's only $14.95 for the etools
portion. I'm at goal, so I use the etools portion and go to the meetings, if
I want, for free. It motivates a person to get in shape. WW themselves will
be the most accurate as they update the program itself and then apply it to
 the ww site and app.

Hi all. Are there any applications that give wait watchers points for food
but do not require you to pay for online service to be a member?
 Thanks.

I haven't used it in a bit, but last I knew I could totally log my stuff with
no difficulty. I'll attempt to try it and post my thoughts here.

The last I heard, it worked well, though there were still accessibility issues.

Re: Weight Watchers app

2012-12-21 Thread Lois Butterfield
I find it all accessible except for putting your weight in the weight
tracker, which is the same when using the PC. You can easily do searches
and add foods to your points tracker.
