Hi, I think you guys are talking about 2 different things. Lori is talking about the gmail app, which doesn't use the iPhone settings Mail section, and Feliciano is talking about the regular mail app of the iPhone which does use those settings. I wonder if the Mail client lost your cached credentials for your Gmail account. What happens if you enter them Does it keep asking for them every time you try to check your email? I would recommend you to remove that Gmail account from the settings in the mail section. Then add that Gmail once again and start fresh. When the mail servers have a problem, they do this. So I go away and come back later when it's sorted itself out, and it works. Changing things that aren't broke is a great way to break them.
