I would recommend the new m1 MacBookAir.  They are a great machine for a new 
user.  Like the other poster said, iMacs are the desktop version of the Macs, 
MacBook Air is a laptop but very light and can get the job done

New to the Mac, transitioning from a PC, need extra help, struggle with certain 
apps and features, or just want to brush up on your Skills? Then the macCafe is 
the place to be! We meet every 1st&3rd Monday of the month at 10:30AM central 
to discuss basics, hints and tricks on learning our MacOS in To get more

iMacs are not Laptops. They]re all-in-one computers. They have screens in the 
front and all ports in the back.
