Re: iBooks Question

2012-06-25 Thread Kimber Gardner
Okay, I just tried it on my phone and here is what I did.

Open iBooks and if you aren't in the library view double tap the
library button in the upper left of the screen.

Once there, verify that the book you want to delete is on the screen.
Double tap the edit button. Touch the title of the book you want to
delete and you should hear a message (if you have hints on) that says
something like double tap to select the book then choose move or
delete. You will will then be able to double tap the delete button.
You will be prompted whether you really want to delete the book.

it possible to make ibooks continue reading with Voiceover when the screen

Re: ibooks question

2012-10-28 Thread Woody Anna Dresner
Hi,

The Search button near the top right of the screen will do both. You can type
in either a search term or page number. Another way to move to a page is using
the Page Switcher at the bottom of the screen. Double-tap and hold, and then
slide your finger left or right. If you slide left, you move back in the book,
while you move forward if you slide right. The speed with which you move your
finger determines how far you'll move in the book.

HTH,
Anna

When the page chooser at the bottom has focus, you can now quickly flick up or
down to move by pages. That might be faster for some than three finger left and
right swipes, especially on the iPhone with the smaller screen.

Re: ibooks question

2012-10-29 Thread Brett
Hi,

How far you jump will depend on the size of the book, the smaller the book, the
further you will scroll with the same motion. To scroll in small increments,
double tap and hold, then just role your finger slightly to the right, then
lift it. This should move you forward a few pages only. With a bit of practice,
it gets quite easy. If you cannot get the hang of it, just focus the page
picker and quickly swipe up with one finger to change pages.

Cheers,
Brett.
