Greetings. You might try searching for just "Freedom Scientific," or even JAWS or blindness. I would think that if you searched for JAWS or Freedom Scientific then the correct podcast would be near the top. If all else fails, you could grab the rss feed and paste it into Downcast. RE: searching in downcast for fscast not working
Hi, I think there must be an issue with the search function in Downcast. I went to the native Podcast and put in the search field FS Cast and it came up first time. It said Freedom Scientific FS Cast. So I put that into Downcast with no results. I am thinking the search feature must be broken somehow. I like the Down Cast app better than the Native Podcast app but I may be switching back to it. Anyone else have any ideas why Downcast does not find FS Cast ? I know there were some issues with search not working in prior versions. The dev has put out updates to address this problem. Are you running the most recent version? My search has been hit or miss with more success recently. I guess you could reach out to the dev letting them know of your continued issues. Again though, if you prefer Downcast, there's really no need to switch because of this particular issue. There are many ways to get the RSS feed into downcast. Plus, I've found that when an app is giving me issues, I close and then open it again and usually all works well. However, perhaps a device shut down and restart is in order.
