Re: table of contents not available in Kindle books
Hello, I had two non-fiction books where the table of contents was available. In the first book, activating the Table of Contents just went right back to the actual book. In the second, the table of contents read just fine, but it took very small and precise finger movements to find the chapter and then double tap. But it went right to the chapter. Perhaps it depends on the formatting of the book somehow. Re: table of contents not available in Kindle books
Hello Mary, No, that message isn't there. I wonder if your awkward books are ones that don't have proper chapter divisions. I've seen this in some of the cheaper Kobo books where Kobo will read through umpteen chapters before stopping in the way it normally does at the end of one chapter. You can navigate from chapter to chapter using headings luckily but it is rather odd. Re: table of contents not available in Kindle books
Hi Anne, That is a relief that the TOC is available at least in some books. I would certainly not want a recipe book that didn't have some way of navigating through the recipes besides flipping from page to page. I guess the books I've looked at just don't have tables of contents for whatever reason, even though they have chapter divisions that you come across as you read. In your recipe book, when in the "go to" menu, are you seeing that phrase about table of contents not being available for this title, but you tapped on it anyway? I assume not, but thought I'd ask just to cover that base. Mary Mary Otten motte...@gmail.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group. Re: table of contents not available in Kindle books
Hello Mary, I've only tried this in one book, but the Table of Contents is available and accessible if not super easy to navigate. I just double tap on the entry and it opens the appropriate page. As this is a recipe book, I'm rather relieved!
