The PenFriend 2 is a great product, but you need someone to tell you what the 
item is before you can record your label.
If you don’t have a sighted person around, the apps previously mentioned would 
work, or you could use Be My Eyes and always have a sighted volunteer to read 
you the label.
Then, either with a PenFriend for around $180 dollars, or a slate and stylus 
with dymo tape, you could label the item.

John, We haven't had very much success with the scanning apps for cans. Instead 
we use one of the bar code devices that reads every time.

Seeing AI Product channel can work great to get the bar code which may contain 
more information an you can read on the label because of the curve. But, if you 
just want to know what it is and not any other details, TapTapSee is also very 
good and it is made by the same folks who do CamFind, but it doesn't try to 
show you ads about where you can buy said product. TapTapSee is designed for 
the blind for identifying objects of all kinds.

Both Seeing AI and TapTapSee are free.
