Re: Reading with Ibooks and a braille display

2015-03-03 Thread Woody Anna Dresner
Hi,

The trick that Jonathan Mosen suggested in another context, pressing a cursor
routing button, makes the message saying what page it is disappear. This
doesn’t completely solve the problem, but it does help, since you don’t have to
wait for the message to disappear on its own.

Best,
Anna

Re: Reading with Ibooks and a braille display

2015-03-03 Thread Teresa Cochran
There is a setting in Braille settings to change pages while panning. There's a
bug which causes Voiceover to display thepage number even when this setting
is on, unfortunately. This is why I mainly read in Kindle these days.

Reading with Ibooks and a braille display

2015-03-03 Thread Nicki keck
Hi all,

is there any way to get ibooks, like kindle does when having the setting on for
automatically turning pages as you pan,to not show that you are on the next
page but to just keep showing the text even after you go to the next page?
Hope I am making sense. I am sure that at one point, yesterday, it was just
smoothly going through the text and not displaying that, but I don’t know if it
was a fluke or something I might have done that I didn’t realize I did at the
time. If there is any way to do this, I would be very grateful. thakns.
