ringtone question

2013-02-16 Thread Jessica Diaz
Hi All
For some reason my ringtones on my phone are no longer on the comp. I am
pretty sure I have everything to go right but I don't see them. I have over
10 and on the comp only 4 are showing. Thanks for the help.

Ringtone Question

2018-10-24 Thread Carla Dawson
I just upgraded to the iPhone 8 and I am very upset with one thing! The
only ringtones it will let me have are the few I purchased. I made a lot
with my own music and even made one with one of my clocks but it says it
can't find them and it only gives me the ones I purchased. I even lost my
Touchdown Seahawks" which is in the Droid Playstore but not the App store.
Is there a way I can do this to get them back? I have them all just can't
put them on my phone. Thanks.

Ringtone Question

2017-09-04 Thread Carla
Does anyone know how I can get a ringtone from the Google Play Store for my
iPhone? It doesn't look like it can be done. I want the one that says
Touchdown Seahawks said by Steve Raibel. The tone is out there but it says
it's not accessible for iPhones so in the end I guess that's my answer but I
so want it! Thanks to anyone if you can help.

Re: Ringtone Question

2018-10-24 Thread Richard Turner
They may not have been put back if you restored from a backup.
Plug your phone into the computer.
Launch iTunes.
Select the phone button when you get to it.
Tab to the list that probably starts with summary.
Arrow down to tones, and tab to the folder.
Now, open Windows explorer, assuming it is Windows, and navigate to the
ringtones folder and open it.
Select all and copy, then alt-tab back to iTunes and paste.
They should now all be on your iPhone.

Richard

I just upgraded to the iPhone 8 and I am very upset with one thing! The only
ringtones it will let me have are the few I purchased. I made a lot with my
own music and even made one with one of my clocks but it says it can't find
them and it only gives me the ones I purchased. I even lost my Touchdown
Seahawks" which is in the Droid Playstore but not the App store. Is there a
way I can do this to get them back? I have them all just can't put them on my
phone. Thanks.

Re: ringtone question

2018-04-27 Thread Richard Turner

I use GoldWave. I do a save as, select Media Foundation m4a and then rename the
file to m4r since m4a and m4r are essentially the same format, but Apple
recognizes m4r as a ringtone.
I know there are other ways to do the same thing, but this works for me since I
use GoldWave for other audio editing and am most familiar with it.

Of course you can just google MP3 to M4R converters and use any one of many
free online converters such as www.zamzar.com or www.M4ROnline.com if you just
want to do 2 or 3 ringtones. Most of them are quite accessible, you simply
click a "Browse" or "Upload" button which opens a standard Windows dialogue,
find the file and upload it, then click the convert button and once it's done
click the download button or link to download the converted file back to your
computer.

RE: ringtone question

2018-05-04 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
iTunes still has a Tones section, but it's only there in the treeview when your
device is connected. All you have to do is go to the folder where your ringtone
is, copy it to the clipboard with Control+C, then go to iTunes and your device
area, tab to the treeview and go to almost the end to Tones, tab into the list
of tones and paste with Control+V. The rington is then automatically and
instantly synced to your iPhone, no more need to press Apply or go to File >
Devices> Sync Now.

Regards,
Sieghard

Creating isn't necessarily the problem--how do you now get these tones to your

You can use iTunes, I have posted the instructions for this many times on here,
search the archives for "Creating ringtones from songs", this describes the
entire process using any song you have in iTunes, but you can just skip the
first part and check out the last steps.

Strange ringtone question?

2021-10-04 Thread Malcolm Parfitt
Since updating to iOS15 on my iPhone 12 Pro Max I have noticed a strange issue
when receiving a call.

The tone I have set and the one I have used for years begins to sound, does so
for around a second then is silent.

On screen I have the usual options to answer the call, message and so-on.

No matter what I select as a ringtone, the same behaviour persists, a second of
tone is played then silent.

In all other respects the phone behaves as expected, I can answer a call no
problem.

Unfortunately due to personal circumstances it is important that I do not miss
a call yet I cannot resolve this issue.

Any thoughts welcome.

Hi Malcom,
Somehow, you have Do Not Disturb turned on.

At least, in my testing just now, since our landline is I my contacts, if Do
Not Disturb is on, I hear the ringtone once, then it goes silent.
If I turn off Do Not Disturb, it rings normally.

I hope that is the answer.

RE: Strange ringtone question?

2021-10-04 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
And you can turn Emergency Bypass on in your mother's contact card and then
even if Do Not Disturb is on the call will go through.
Hope she will recover well and won't be left with cognitive deficits, speech or
motor issues.

Hi Richard,

?Do Not Disturb was already off, but turning it on and then back has solved the
problem.

I am really grateful for the pointer as my mother has been admitted into
hospital having had a stroke and I don’t want to miss any calls.

Thanks once again!

Response To My Ringtone Question

2017-09-04 Thread Carla
When I tried to download the ringtone Touchdown Seahawks it said "Not
Available For iPhone" not not accessible so it looks like it isn't going to
work. This is just wrong.
