RE: Setting up an activity in iOS 13

2019-10-04 Thread Cristobal Muñoz
Yup. A few times I’ve had an issue where I swear I was doing everything right
or just couldn’t figure something out and finally ended up calling the
accessibility line. I did the share screen thing with them and walking through
it, the Apple rep pointed out a step that I was missing or in a couple of
instances, was able to document an actual bug.

It doesn’t’ happen very often that I call them, but they are after all there
for a reason.

This sounds like an interesting and useful feature. I look forward to finally
upgrading to 13.X once some of those bugs get addressed.

Hi Anna,

Yes, I am running 13.1.2. And I did go back and make sure that the activity was

I have turned my rotor to activity, open the mail, and manually flip to

2019-10-03 Thread Anna Dresner
Hi Mary,

You don't have to have activities in the rotor. You can if you want to switch
to one manually, though. Are you running 13.1.2? Also, did you go back in and
make sure the activity is set the way you want it?

Best,
Anna

Hi Anna,
Well, that’s what I thought. I didn’t even realize you had to have activity in
your Rogar I thought activities were supposed to automatically load like they
do on the Mac. But I can’t get this one to load no matter what I do.

2019-10-03 Thread Anna Dresner
Hi Richard and Mary,

You shouldn't have to select the activity on the rotor. If you selected Mail in
the list of apps, the activity should run automatically when you open Mail.

Best,
Anna

Re: Setting up an activity in iOS 13

2019-10-03 Thread Richard Turner
Hi Mary,
I just created an activity to use a different voice, set puncuation to all, and
only for the mail app.
I just hit the back button at each step where it was there.
Then, when all done, hit the back button again.
Then switched to the mail app, selected activity 1 on the rotor, and your
message read with the Samantha voice, with all punctuation.
So, as far as my quick test goes, it works as advertised.

Richard

Always look out for #1, and be careful not to step in #2.
