Now that I have a new S E 2020, I am putting my 6 on an MVNO for a backup
phone. Since there are three sizes for sim cards, I need to be sure that my 6
uses a nano sim rather than one of the two larger sizes. Is this correct?

Thanks.

Not sure why I should trust someone from Verizon more than someone from AT&T,
but in Googling this issue, most of the articles I found said that as long as
your old SIM card is in good working order, you should be OK to keep using it.

the first generation SE since that is what I have.

They are sending me a new SIM card. I can go ahead and use my current SIM card

I will then call them from either my wife’s phone or our landline and they will

Update on SIM card question

2020-04-24 Thread Richard Turner
I spoke with Xfinity since they are my carrier, and the reason to get a new SIM
card rather than sticking with the old one, is that at least for Xfinity, they
would not know what the new phone is because the SIM card ID would say it was
the first generation SE since that is what I have.
They are sending me a new SIM card. I can go ahead and use my current SIM card
until the new one arrives and then I will replace it with the new SIM card.
I will then call them from either my wife's phone or our landline and they will
activate the new SIM.

Before anyone asks, Xfinity was not a choice when ordering the phone so I got
the no SIM phone.

The moral of the story is, use the old SIM card, but check with your carrier to
see if it matters.
