I've not read much of the thread, but suspect we're looking for a camera that
one can activate on the fly immediately, at will, and
discretely. I have some artificial specs with built in camera, low res no
doubt, but built into the frame; it has a pocket remote,
and is also capable of playing music. Indeed, if challenged, one can
demonstrate this aspect and keep quiet about the camera side.
But clicking buttons on the remote does give sound feedback through the
ear;iece in the frames. I've had this unused for a while,
but they are still about in improved versions by now. They come in other forms
of clip-on, but Bro and me prefer the headsup
aspect.

RE: Small camera

2018-08-13 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
No, there is no camera on the Apple Watch.
Jessica, if Judy wanted to tell she probablywould have *smile*.
Judy, as for these types of cameras you would want something like the Go Pro or
similar which can record continuously and for hours when you rare out and
about. If you had to turn it on each time something was going on you might as
well use the video camera on your iPhone.
I heard of a guy in England who put a Go Pro on his dog's harness, it's
probably not that noticeable and this way it's always on and it will most
likely get most things in front of you and to the side, it wouldn't get
somebpody who came up from behind you and tripeed you or snatched your purse,
but let's hope it won't be needed for that.

Re: Small camera

2018-08-13 Thread Judy Pryor
Looking at Amazon here in the UK the Tom Tom is very expensive about 340
pounds. The Go Pro is cheaper about 285 pounds for one model it has simple
voice commands. Amazon seem to be plugging a make called Akaso which is much
cheaper with a remote control on your wrist.
I just want something very simple to use and not too expensive. I will consult
my family when they return from Spain.

Kind regards

Judy

RE: Small camera

2018-08-13 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Can you go into a bit more detail why the Tom Tom camera is in your opinion
better than the Go Pro? Go Pro of course is just a brand, they make quite a few
cameras.
One thing to remember is that while this could come in handy, it is an
investment of several hundred Dollars.

Importance: High

I would recommend one of the body warn action cams, such as the go pro, or
tom-tom bandit, which I personally think is better.
I am thinking of using one when riding, to catch out some of the dick head
drivers, and the issues we have with traveller stallions and such.
