Re: Solution - Sliding icons between home pages

If you should accidentally lift your finger off of the screen, you can just
find the app again and double tap and continue to move it to where you wanted
to go.

For example, if the app is already on the page you wanted to be, and you lift
your finger, just find the app double tap and continue to move it.

 To move icons between screens:
 1. Make sure you have an empty space in the target page. For example make
sure there is an empty space on your HomePage#1 if you would like to move an
icon from another page to that location.
 2. Work your way over to and execute a double tap+Hold on the target icon to
 be moved.
 3. If you want to move from HomePage#2 to HomePage#1 simply slowly slide the
icon to the left edge of your device. You will be presented with a message
stating Moving XApp. You will also hear a message informing you of the page
changing from page #2 to Homepage#1. Absolutely do not remove your finger
from the screen as you are now on HomePage #1 and can now move the icon to
your desired position. Again, throughout this process do not remove your
finger off of the icon to be moved! If you remove your finger you will have
to restart this process from beginning.
 4. As you are moving around on HomePage#1 you will hear the announcement of
any icon you are crossing. Simply find the location of the desired spot on
HOmePage#1 and release your finger to drop the icon you moved from HOmePage#2.
 5. Confirm the icon has indeed been moved by moving your finger around on
Homepage#1 in an effort to find the newly moved icon.

This task takes a little practice but can definitely be done.

Re: Solution - Sliding icons between home pages

2013-01-25 Thread Cheryl Homiak
These are good steps but at least in my experience it is not necessary to start
all over again if you lift your finger from the icon. Once it has crossed over
into the page where you want it, if you need to do so, you should be able to
lift your finger. Press the home button. Then find your icon which will be on
the page to which you moved it and proceed with moving it to the exact place
where you want it. Some people do find it easier to do in one step while others
like to employ smaller steps. If you are moving the icon into a folder this
procedure will be slightly different in that you want to press the home button
more than once as you want to hear the folder close in which you have placed
the new icon. I think I remember this usually being three times but just press
and listen for what is said and then press again.
