RE: Stop Voiceover From Reading Texts
I would rather go to notification settings, under message options and turn off message preview. That should do the trick. Re: Stop Voiceover From Reading Texts
While this is not the perfect solution, when I am going to be out where I don't want other people to hear my messages, I use the three finger double tap to turn speech off. It is so quick to toggle on and off and this works for me. Hello, If and when you unlock, though, Voice over will read them, as they show up, but they wouldn't be read until you unlock the screen. It saved me from embarrassment in the past. Re: Stop Voiceover From Reading Texts
You're going to want to go into the notifications area in settings and go to the messaging app. Turn off where it says show on lock screen. This will keep it from turning the screen on and reading the message. If it's interrupting you while you're doing something with the phone, turn off the show badges as well.
