Syncing iPhone and Mac with iTunes

2014-09-09 Thread Haya Simkin
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to sync my iPhone and my Mac with iTunes. I'm not sure whether I'm
successful or not. I plug it in to the Mac and the maccording recognizes it and
opens iTunes. I've already gotten the iPhone to trust the Mac in the past. I go
into iTunes and go into the iPhone pop-up button. I see all the stuff I have on
my iPhone and I press SYNC. Sync goes dim and after a few seconds I hear a
chord like the default message tone. Then I can sync the phone again if I want
to. Have I succeeded? If not, what should I do?

Thanks in advance,
Haya Simkin guide dog Pammy

RE: Syncing iPhone and Mac with iTunes

2014-09-09 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Haya,

The chord is used in iTunes to indicate a task has finished. I would say
your sync was successful. I am not sure how you do this on a Mac, but after
I start the sync I can press F6 (I use Windows) and it will take me to the
area where whatever is currently going on is displayed and Jaws reads me the
various steps that happen during a sync, I believe there are usually 5 or 6
things iTunes is doing, then once I hear the triple tone I know it's done.
Same tone plays if you download something from the iTunes store using iTunes
and it's finished.

Sieghard

On a Mac, jump to the top of the screen with vo-shift-home (vo-shift-fn-left if
your keyboard lacks a home key). Find the LCD section and interact with it to
look at the sync progress. Tip: if you do this a lot, set up a hotspot to jump
to it more quickly.
