Hopefully eventually you will just be able to do a search, then
download the book without having to deal with the wish list.

Original message:

You can download books directly to your iPhone from the recently added
books list in the BARD Mobile app. You cannot add books to your wish
list from the recently added books list in the BARD Mobile app. You can
get the book summaries in the recently added books list by double
tapping the more info button.

wish list using this method, click on the link with the name of the book,
not the download link. Once you add the book to your wish list, I believe it
is one or two lines down you will see a link to return to book summaries.
Sometimes, I don't think I wind up in the right place in the list. I have
started remembering a key word from the title and using that in the search
string to bring me to the last book I added to my wish list.

Have a great day,

Lynda

RE: The Bard Site is Back Online

2013-10-04 Thread Rose Combs
Yes, the message as I heard on another list is the site is online but no
technical support, no new books or magazines. I guess someone in the
government got upset when they could not access a site, probably not Bard,
by the way. I got my books from my wish list that I forgot to do on Monday.

So, we can access but will not see anything new until they figure out this
mess we are in.

The wish list is very handy because you can have as many books in the wish
list. The advantage is when your using the Bard Mobile app, the titles are
ready for downloading and you don't have to have 50 titles on your iPhone
but any of those titles you've added to the wish list can be put on your
phone when ever you want so it is a handy way to have a list of titles you
intend on reading.

Re: The Bard Site is Back Online

2013-10-04 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I don't understand your question. You can get books on to your phone by
downloading them from your wish list, downloading them from the
recently added books page or transferring them to your phone from your
PC or Mac. You can add books to your wish list by using the browse books
option in the BARD Mobile app or with any browser.
