The HEOS app, to control Denon receivers, is very accessible

2022-11-28 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I just wanted to report back to say that I did upgrade the receiver in my home
theater system, and the HEOS app which is used to control my Denon receiver is
nicely accessible. Not only that, but it's beautifully laid out and intuitive.
The obvious and most frequent things you'd want to do with your receiver are
right there, but it's easy to drill down and get to those more sophisticated
settings. I haven't checked everything out yet, but everything I've done so far
has been a piece of cake!

Re: The HEOS app, to control Denon receivers, is very accessible

2022-11-29 Thread Steve Matzura
I have a DRA-800 and an old application for it I got when I bought the
receiver two Christmases ago. What's the name of the one you of which
you are liking the accessibility? I don't have my phone in my hand at
this moment, but I'll find out what mine is and report back. I'm also
wondering if it's the same application for all their receivers and you
just have to pick the one to work with from a list of possibles. I'm
hoping that's so because as I remember, the application for the DRA-800
wasn't all that great. However, that being said, I can tell my Amazon
device to play anything through it thanks to an Amazon skill designed
especially for it, but I don't believe I can control the receiver with
that skill, just play Amazon-accessible content through it.

RE: The HEOS app, to control Denon receivers, is very accessible

2022-11-29 Thread Christopher Chaltain
My receiver is a Denon AVR-X1700H. I think the HEOS app does support multiple
receivers, but I'm pretty sure I saw an older app in the App Store for Denon
receivers, so the HEOS app may only work with newer receivers.
