RE: The screen recognition feature: was Re: getting a new SE 2020 today

2020-07-28 Thread Simon A Fogarty
So is that going to work on the sE 2020 and 11 range or will it be limited to
the se 2020 and upcoming releases later in the year?

The new feature basically will perform a scan for text on the screen, making
previously inaccessible apps hopefully accessible. It will require the latest
chips or processors.

Does anyone know whether the new SE model will support the screen recognition
feature in the upcoming IOS14? I realize it may be too early to tell, but I
know it will be only available on tens and up. Maybe the SE doesn't have a
certain chip in it? Thanks, Matthew

Or, as Fred said, call Apple Accessibility and I suspect they can walk you

But, definitely back up your current phone.

Dan, you can and should back-up your six and then you can directly transfer all
of your info from the six to the SE. Can't remember how it is done, but call
apple Accessability and they can instruct you on how to get this accomplished.
It is a farely pain-free process.

I am getting one of these. I am wondering though if I can do a backup of my
current Six and then restore the apps and data from the Six to the new SE. I
suspect not but thought I should ask.

   Any thoughts would be appreciated.
