Transferring OOTunes Recordings to a Computer
Hi folks, Last night I recorded a radio broadcast on OOTunes that's about an hour and forty minutes long. I'd like to transfer it to my computer for safekeeping since it has some really great music. Even though it's not the best quality recording I might also want to edit the recording using Audacity or something like it and burn it to a CD later. So, is there an easy way to transfer that OOTunes recording to my PC using ITunes or am I stuck with leaving the recording on my phone? Thanks in advance. RE: Transferring OOTunes Recordings to a Computer
Hi Tom, the recordings are stored in iTunes backups, so can be saved to your computer that way. There's no way built within the app to export the recordings. Also, keep in mind that only recordings that you've elected to "save" are stored in backups. Temporary recordings are not-and in iOS 7, there is a bug where temporary recordings cannot be saved after the fact. You need to save them while the recording is in progress, such as by adding a marker. RE: Transferring OOTunes Recordings to a Computer
Hi Grant, Thanks for this tip in iOS 7. Let's hope it may be fixed in iOS8~!! I have never ventured into saving or capturing a recording from OoTunes. Now, I'll give it a trial.
