Re: VO issues when on a call-was Triple Click VO off during a call
Hi, I tried to do this last night while on a call to my mum, to stop it reading out a text I was receiving. But though it didn't turn off VO and it did put it to speaker for a few seconds, something even more weird happened: It kept doing this buz/click type thing, and it did it over and over again intermitently during my call. My mum noticed it too, she said it sounded like I was being cut off/dropping out of the call. I have noticed this same sound when a call connects, IE. when I answer a call, or just before a call I am ringing is connected. It is something new with ios6 (running on a 4S), does anyone else get this? It seems impossible to turn VO off during a call now-I will have to resort to the speech off gesture instead. which Kirsten Edmondson kirsten.edmond...@btinternet.com 07867978791 On 26 Sep 2012, at 18:53, Katey Glass wrote: > Hello all, > > I'm using an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.0 and while on iOS 5 I was able > to use VO to engage a call and then once the call was connected use > the tripple click home to turn VO off during a call to prevent it from > reading my texts into my ear during a call. > > Now however, when I do this once the call has engaged it throws the > call to speaker even with my ear on the phone itself. I have used other apps while on a call. It can be done. You can also hide the key pad so you can do things like do three way calling. Jenn You must first learn to follow before you can lead. Re: Triple Click VO off during a call
Will muting your phone with the switch on the left side take care of this? I know muting doesn't silence voiceover but will it keep the announcements from coming through on a call. If so, it would be a lot easier to just flip that switch when on the phone instead of turning voiceover off. -- Cheryl May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.
