Re: Ugh Just Discovered new mail bug in 9.1

2015-10-23 Thread Brian Fischler
Hey Richard,

Thanks so much for posting this fix as I have mail notifications turned off as
I do not want a notification every time I get a mail message. Turning it on and
turning on the badge count did the trick and it says mail notifications is
still turned off, so hopefully this will work. Thanks again

Richard, that certainly resolve the issue. Amazing the badges would make that
much of a difference. I had sounds on but not badges. I typically turn badges

Ah, FYI,,, a hard reset will clear the ramm memory. This is also something you
can do when power cycling does not fix an issue. A hard reset can be done by
pressing down the wake sleep button and home button in the same time for about
8 seconds.

Hi,
power cycling is simply powering off your device and powering it back on. You
can achieve this by pressing down theee wake sleep button for about 3 seconds
and double tapping on the power off button. Then powering on the device by
pressing and holding the wake sleep button for about 3 seconds as well.

Hi,
glad to hear that power cycling your device fixed that issue. As far as your
notification count for the mail App not matching the actual number of emails
that you have, will opening the mail App and then closing the mail App by
clicking the home button update the email count? If so, your mail app settings
may be set to fetch emails manually when the app is opened. from the home
screen

2015-10-22 Thread Richard Turner

I just wrote apple accessibility this morning about the fact that the mail icon
on the home screen says "no unread emails" no matter how many unread emails
there are.
They replied in less than 30 minutes with a work around that fixed it for me.
Go into settings, notifications, and make sure mail notifications are on, and
set to badges and then it shows the number of unread emails on the home screen
icon.

2015-10-22 Thread Brian Fischler
Thanks all, power cycling the phone did the trick to get this working again,
weird. Is anyone getting the number of unread messages on their home screen? I
have 47 unread messages yet when I touch mail on the home screen it still says
no unread messages. This number count does work on text messages and phone
displaying how many items I have that i have not looked at, another strange
one. Thanks,

Hello,
It may have improved, but its still not there. For me, the only improvement I
can see is that focus is not being lost. Oh, and apparently it is now read how
many messages are in a thread, though, I have that disabled, so not sure about
that one.

2015-10-22 Thread Les Kriegler
I haven't seen that one either. One improvement I've seen in mail is now
Messages download on the mail app is loaded. Would 9.02, I would start mail in
the mail wouldn't generally come in. As I grew impatient, I would close the app
and re-launch it in the mail came in. Now it's coming in is it supposed to. So
in my opinion, mail is much improved in terms of performance in 9.1.

Re: Ugh Just Discovered new mail bug in 9.1

2015-10-21 Thread Feliciano Godoy
Hi,
I am not experiencing this issue on iOS 9.1 on my iPhone 6s. Have you tried to
power cycle your device and see if the problem still persists?

Regards,
Feliciano

It’s working here fine. I hear the next message or thread read after I flick
up and double tap to delete a message.

Ugh Just Discovered new mail bug in 9.1

2015-10-21 Thread Brian Fischler
Ok so it is not a major bug just yet another annoying one. When in your email
if you flick up to delete a mail message. VO used to then start reading you
your next message, well in 9.1 when you flick up to delete a message VO does
not read you the next message you have to flick one way then back to have it
read. Geez Apple get some new freaking testers for VO.
