settings, general, about, will also have the IMEI.
Good luck!

RE: Urgent assistance needed: finding iPhone IMEI number in iTunes preferences

2016-08-26 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Christine,

I am so sorry about the destruction of your iPhone.

You can get the I m e I number of your phone from several sources.

1.
Your wireless provider will have the number as this is how your device is
identified on their network.

2.
Attach the device to iTunes on a computer. When attached, all of its
identification numbers can be displayed and copied to either a file or the
computer's clipboard, assuming, of course, that the device will still power on
and can be seen by the computer.

3.
Both your purchase receipt and the actual box in which you received the device
will have all of the device's identification numbers listed on them.

Good Luck,

mark

Hello all: My iPhone was run over and the glass is smashed; it is done for. I
need to give Apple the ImEI number, but I am told that one has to hover the
mouse over the devices in the iTunes back-up list to do this, and I have no
clue how to do this. All I am getting is my iPhone’s name and the date
associated with the back-up. Please help asap. Thanks much.
