It would be nice, if voice dream reader, could support .OGG files. I am glad though, that it will now support .M4B files. I don't have a lot of audio books in that format, but do have a couple things that would be nice to not have to convert to mp3 format. If you only have one device, having syncing to iCloud enabled may go a long way to getting everything back if you delete the app and start over. I forwarded your note to my contact at the Applause Group. I hope he has a better suggestion. Perhaps the update that should be out Monday or so will help. How is your internet speed? Just because they are set to update automatically, doesn’t mean they always do, at least, not in a timely manner. You may want to go to your purchase history in the app store and see if Voice Dream Reader shows Open or Update. If Open, it is current. Have you got the latest update? It came out a day or two ago, maybe three at the most. I can’t remember. That has definitely fixed my iPad problem, at least as of yesterday. I don’t know why the iPhone still isn’t syncing up, but they did say they were going to have more improvements coming next week. If this is everything, then it is likely an issue with your phone. How much memory is free? Do you clear out the app switcher? Have you rebooted? Yep, I'm having this problem, too, but it's not limited to Bookshare for me, it's with absolutely everything, and it's driving me totally nuts! There is an update today that they think may fix this. They have two engineers working on it. Here is what the update says: Fix bug when loading content. Custom margins for PDFs, support for more audio files and fix go to percentage The Fixed bug while loading content is the relevant one to this issue. I hope it solves it for those dealing with this. I just downloaded a book on the iPad Mini 6 from Bookshare and it took well less than 1 minute to say download complete. I checked and it was available and also on my iPhone. I downloaded a couple bookshare books into voice dream a couple hours ago, and it worked just fine. I've had this problem for well over a year now. And even communicated with the developer about it but never got any sort of resolution. I can't even use Voice Dream anymore and don't even try. Voicedream not downloading book share books.
Hi, over the last week or so I have been noticing that every time I try to add a title to my book share library through Voice Dream Reeder I keep getting a continuous message that says “waiting“. I have closed down the app and reopened it again and still those books all just seem to be stuck there and it keeps saying waiting and they will not download. Any suggestions? Is anyone else experiencing this bug? Thanks in advance. This is very frustrating as I depend heavily on Book Share for Both pleasure reading and for professional items.
