Re: When Composing a Message, VoiceOver Does Not Read Contact Phone Label: FB7349382
Hi, It's interesting you post this. I hadn't noticed this particular behavior as I usually use the add contact button and then scroll to the contact I want and then select their mobile number I want to use if they have more than one. In earlier versions I thought it'd say the person's name and then phone number now recently I'm hearing it verbalize the chosen phone number but not the person's name in the to field once chosen. Accessibility What type of feedback are you reporting? Incorrect/Unexpected Behavior Details What does the accessibility issue you are seeing involve? VoiceOver Description Please describe the issue and what steps we can take to reproduce it: When Composing Message, VoiceOver Does Not Read Contact Phone Label When composing a new text message, unlike in iOS 12.x, VoiceOver does not read label associated with telephone number. Steps to reproduce: 1. From within the messages app, compose a new text message. 2. Place focus in the, "To" field. 3. Type in the first few letters of a contact's name such as "dav" for the name "David." Now in previous versions of the OS, when focus was properly placed, VoiceOver would say something like, "David Johnson, Mobile." In this release, VoiceOver merely says, "David Johnson, 800-555-1212." Which may or may not be David's mobile number. Please restore VoiceOver behavior to that of iOS 12.x. Thank you, Mark -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
