White Noise app
Hello. I recently down loaded the free version of the White Noise app from Kitefaster that was discussed about a year ago on this list. It now shows up on the home page as White Noise, which is an improvement, I believe. I think this will be a valuable addition once I get it going, as I am finding a need for creating environmental ambience. I have a few questions about the app. When I first open the app, I find the mechanical sounds, I find ten of them, and fan is selected, since I haven't changed the default selection. I come to the sounds from nature, of which there are thirteen. Then come the colored noises, white, pink and brown. Then I come to the nature sounds pack upgrade, I believe there are 25 as I swipe right. Do I pay for these individually or as a group, and how much does it cost? Is that how II upgrade to the fully paid version, and how much is that? I might want to have that as a goal. Then I come to the play button, and then a button that is unmarked. The next swipe right gives me the current selection. I come to the sounds tab, which is the tab selected, and VoiceOver reports there are three tabs. Then there are the controls and settings tabs, which I haven't been brave enough to venture into yet. What else do I need to know to get started with this app? RE: White Noise App
Hi Sieghard, Yes, I started out trying to use bluetooth headsets of various types for my sleep-noise needs, but I never found a set which lasted anything like the entire night before the batteries failed. I’m not reading, I need ambient noise, so I need it to run 8 or 9 hours, and I just could not find that (issues of comfort aside). It turns out when I made the switch to cabled sets that the cable did not bother me nearly as much as I thought it would. What I found was that as long as it was long enough (and the one for the Cozi Phones is quite long), then I would just push it up to the head of the bed and then run it to the side table; so all I really wanted then was comfort, and the ability to reliably stay on my ears no matter how I turned (a slightly twisted cable in the morning can easily be straightened). Yes,but only as of iOS 10, maybe iOS 9, but definitely before if I was last playing an Audible book and then did a two-finger double tap or told SIRI to “Play” it would start playing something random from my music library. I really hope even though they didn’t specifically say so that Apple is expanding who can have access to SIRI, I really want to be able to tell SIRI I want to play a particular book in Audible or tell it to “Rewind for 3 minutes”, “Play Chapter 5” or whatever. Nature Space. It is free and completely accessible with VoiceOver. There are extra sounds you can buy, but it comes with 6, infinite shoreline, which is ocean waves, Night at Lake Unknown, which has sounds like you were by a lake at night with a variety of environmental sounds, etc. The sound quality is excellent! White Noise App
Does anyone know of any accessible white noise/sleep sounds apps? I'm hoping for something with multiple effects. I've tried Relax Melodies but it seems really inaccessible. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
