Re: Will Speak Screen work with NFB Newsline app?

2015-03-02 Thread Jonathan Mosen
Hi Reggie, you could download the publications from Bookshare. I think most of
them end up there.
Or if you get DAISY versions of publications emailed to you, you could import
them into Voice Dream Reader from the Email app.

Hi Keith, if it works at all, it won't be very helpful because of the way NFB
Newsline publications are structured. Entire sections or publications are
loaded into the app at once, and to navigate by article, you do so by moving
between headings. So unless you wanted to hear a paper from beginning to end,
it's probably not the best solution.
If you're after a solution that lets you read from NFB Newsline with the
screen locked, you could grab the publications from Bookshare and read them
in Voice Dream Reader, or set up your favourite publications as a podcast and
 use a podcast client.

Hi,

I can't get it to work with the NFB Newsline app, but don't know if that is
user error or a limitation of the Speak Screen functionality.

Thanks. Keith
