Okay, I think I see it in the app store, it is $1.99, if that is the right game.

Word Ladder is accessible. I would recommend only playing the free games,
as it needs to be updated to work with newer operating systems and hasn't been
for a long time, so it may not be updated. It's fun, though.

Hanging with friends is great. I play it, it's fun when playing against
family and friends. There is a paid $1.99 ad-free version or free version that
has ads. The part that isn't accessible is when trying to play against a
Facebook friend. Other then that, it's accessible.

Hello all

I’m looking for recommendations for accessible word games.

An older friend has asked me to help her find some VO friendly word
games she can play on her iPhone. She says her sighted friends are all playing
such games to keep their brains active and she wants to do it too. She has
tried hangman, but doesn’t find it very entertaining.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Best

Hi,

Several of the blindfold Games are word games, such as Blindfold Spin & Solve
and Blindfold Word Games. These are fully accessible and were designed for
blind players.

Word Ladder is accessible. I would recommend only playing the free games, as it
needs to be updated to work with newer operating systems and hasn't been for a
long time, so it may not be updated. It's fun, though.

Best,
Anna

RE: Word games for IOS

2017-03-21 Thread Edmonds, Lucy (LARA)
There is another word game called iAssociate that is really pretty challenging
and fun. I find it to be accessible, although there have been a few postings on
this list about problems with accessibility. Seven little words is also fun and
totally accessible.

Hanging with friends is great. I play it, it's fun when playing against family
and friends. There is a paid $1.99 ad-free version or free version that has
ads. The part that isn't accessible is when trying to play against a Facebook
friend. Other then that, it's accessible.

Hello all

I’m looking for recommendations for accessible word games.

An older friend has asked me to help her find some VO friendly word games she
can play on her iPhone. She says her sighted friends are all playing such games
to keep their brains active and she wants to do it too. She has tried hangman,
but doesn’t find it very entertaining.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Best

These are online games, minimalised so as to use the minimum of bandwidth. But
they work and are as simply accessible as they get.
There's number games, or even mindless games too.
