Watch ESPN is a separate app; I set it up but haven’t tried to watch stuff. Its purpose is to let you see ESPN content that is on the different ESPN channels. No idea how that part of it works. Even though I have MLB At Bat on my phone, I like to listen to the ESPN baseball games, too. Last night, when I started the old app, it told me that, as of July 1, the radio audio was no longer available on the old app, and that I was to download a newer one. It really is a completely new app. Has anybody been able to get the radio feeds to play on it? Thanks in advance for any information. Try to go to watchespn.com with Saffari and find the program you want to watch. It should open in the watchespn app and start automatically playing. Hi. Ever since I got cable, I've been having fun with the Watch ESPN app on my Apple TV. Early yesterday morning I decided to see how it worked on my iPhone 4 running iOs 7.0.3. To say the least, it wasn't a pretty picture. I saw the featured button, or it may have been some text, I can't remember. All other buttons weren't labeled. I was able to get a program streaming, but I have no idea how I did it. Does anyone know how to use this app, or is it just not speech friendly? Thanks in advance for the help. If you'd like to use the ESPN app on your Apple TV, and you're a Time Warner Cable customer, there's good news.
Hi. I remember some people with Apple TV boxes having trouble getting the ESPN feature working. Well, at least for Time Warner, I didn't have any trouble. The most difficult thing was to get the activation code from the Apple TV, not because it wasn't voiced, but letters sounded similar, and it took me several times to get it right. Once I got it, however, the rest of the steps were very easy to do. Hopefully this will be true of other cable providers. Just letting you know. I was hoping to get some version of ESPN that offers the same features as espn in apple tv does. I don't think that is possible on iPhone though. There's all football pro which covers college and pro football. I got the Penn State game Saturday and it was better than a.m. radio by a long shot with a few break-ups for a few seconds each. There are several ESPN apps, but I don't think there is one that is just called ESPN. Exactly, what is it that you want to do with the app. If you just want to watch the games that are carried on ESPN, perhaps Watch ESPN is the one that you want. espn app users be ware.
I upgraded my ESPN app this morning and it is now asking for name, password, birthdate, and user name. If you have forgotten them it says you can go to ESPN.com I believe and get them, however, I don't believe I had one in the first place, so I'm at a loss, so if you update your apps, give some thought as to whether you want to update this one.
