iPad mini 4 and a facebook app question
Hi, I have an iPad mini 4 and am using the latest version of iOS as well as latest version of the facebook app. I noticed the other day when I tried to share a post using the two finger double tap which usually brings up the share menu this doesn’t happen and instead the app bounces me out. Has this happened to anyone else or am I the only one. This only happens on my iPad mini not my iPhone SE or iPod touch 6. Facebook app question
I'm cross posting in case there are people on the Mac list to use iPads but not iPhone. I often run across items in my Facebook feed which say that person a and person be have shared a link. When this happens, if you double tap on the item, you get nothing. If you to finger double tap, you get a choice two choices really, one of which is more. If you double tap the more choice, you get to save the link and that's it. There's no way to go directly to the story you want to read. What am I missing? Is there a way, when you get one of these items, which more than one person has shared, where you can directly do some gesture, which will take you to the story you want to read? It's very irritating. Mary Sent from my iPhone -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. I think that's something *a lot* of us wonder...how Facebook determines what they show you in your news feed. There seems to be no rhyme or reason, and it seemingly can be different each time you look at it. Can definitely be frustrating at times. Re: A Facebook App Question Regarding Comments
Hello list, I have a few more Facebook questions: 1. In the latest version of Facebook app for IOS, when you tap "more button" there is something like "manage feeds". When I double tap on this, I can select if I want to see friends, pages or groups. When I double tap on pages, there is a list of pages I have liked. However, there are a few pages I do not want to follow or get posts from them, so I have unliked them, but these pages are still showing up in the "manage feeds" section although I'm not following them and not liking them any more. On the other hand, I have liked some new pages and those are not showing up in the "manage feeds section". 2. another thing I would like to know does anyone know why not all posts are showing up on my timeline? To give you an example - I'm a member of several groups and I have set up mail and push notifications, so I know when there is something new in a group, but some posts are not on my Timeline. With groups it is quite fine as I'm notified by e-mail or push, but unfortunately, all the same is happening with pages. As pages don't have notifications feature, I might mis some important post as some posts are not among new feeds which is quite frustrating. I really don't understand what criteria facebook uses to sort and show up posts on the Timeline. To give you one more example - my friend and I have liked one website. It is a TV show website She sometimes gets posts from that website on her timeline which I don't. I know that because she share some posts. Thanks for your help in advance. Re: A Facebook App Question Regarding Comments
I checked out m.facebook.com and found the same result...only allows comments to the main post and not a 'reply' to a specific comment. What Donna may have been referring to was what Feliciano mentioned about being able to reply to a comment on a page as opposed to on a regular post. To tag someone in your comment or post simply start typing their name. Although there are no VO cues matching names begin to appear in the edit field below where you're typing the name. You can move your finger around and find the name of the friend you're tagging and then double tap to insert the tag. Todd On Mon, Sep 8, 2014 at 6:29 PM, M. RE: A Facebook App Question Regarding Comments
Okay, Donna. I'll use m.facebook.com for commenting on a comment, then. Thank you. Is there any special technique to doing this? When I'm on my Desktop PC, again, it appears in Internet Explorer at least, that one can only place a comment at the end of a thread. Unfortunately, using the facebook one can only like another persons comments. Using m.facebook.com one is able to like and comment on others comments. Being the facebook app is so lacking on how one can interact with friends posts and the like, I perfer to use the m.facebook.com website and just use the app for a quick check in. Facebook App Question
Can someone explain to me how to get more newsfeeds with the Facebook App? I really fer that app to all of the other status apps but it's real frustrating not to be able to get very many messages or posts. I tried the double tap and hold until I get the three tone thing and flick up the screen but it doesn't go anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
