google maps in general
HI all. IF anyone is actually using this thing successfully to get directions to or from anywhere, I would be interested to hear about it. A quick step by step walk through of how you set a start and end point for a route would be helpful. voice directions would be nice but aren't completely necessary. if there is a podcast or something I can listen to, am happy to do that too but have never had any success getting this thing to work. Actually, I have been using Google maps very successfully during the three-week road trip. My wife, who is cited, has been the driver. I have been the navigator. When the app opens, type on the search icon. When the search box opens in the typewriter keyboard exposes itself, simply type in the address you want to go to. The app then assumes that you are going to want directions based on your current location. When using the app for the first time, try and get cited assistance. I am successfully using Apple maps. Have you tried this service. it offers turn by turn driving directions and will offer turn by turn walking directions in iOS 7. Kevin, it's my impression that the "start" button, which initiates verbal turn-by-turn instructions, was not identifiable by blind users using VoiceOver. Has this been remedied? hi I currently have the iPhone 4 so then how do you get the apples on that model phone give you turn by turn directions? Witch model of iPhone AR you currently using? Cause I know you can on the iPhone 4 S and the iPhone 5 using ciri you can just say something like navigate to and where ever you would like to go. then it will open its maps app and then how do you get it to start giving you the spoken directions?
