RE: iPhone XR and deleting gmail

Log into your Gmail account online and you can delete the AOL account.
If you have difficulties figuring it out you could always call Google
Accessibility using the Specialized Help section of the Be My Eyes app where
you can reach Google
Accessibility directly.

When a new update comes out, regardless of what app is being updated, I never

There are always glitches in new updates, which is understandable.

Hi,

By default, Gmail will archive, rather than delete emails. To solve this, do
the following.

Open the iPhone’s settings, and double tap on mail. Double tap on accounts, and
find your Gmail account. Double tap that, then find advanced and double tap it.
In that settings group you’ll see a setting which says, move deleted messages
to. Select trash as opposed to all mail, and you’ll have a delete instead of
archive option. When you’re in mail, after you’ve fixed the option, you can
either flick up on a message to delete it if you’re in the message list, or you
can open an email and find the toolbar near the bottom of the screen. Delete
will be in there.

Hope that helps!
