Lazarillo works much like Blind Square, though simplified and free. So depending on ones needs, Lazarillo may do the trick for added orientation information. Blind Square is great, if you want or need its extra features. It doesn't hurt to have both in ones tool kit. In similar situations, SIRI has not done what I thought it should re opening apps. It turned out to be that the apps I was trying to use were offloaded from my phone. I have the setting turned on that allows IOS to offload an app if it has not been used in a while. SIRI cannot trigger the download of an app in this situation and generates a "something is wrong" or "I can't do that" type message. . Perhaps this might be the situation here? There are some times momentary connection issues with the Siri server, calling Apple will take about as much time as waiting and trying again, perhaps even just rebooting the phone. If this behavior continues for more than 5 or 10 minutes, then maybe it would be time to call Apple. Also, make sure you don't have a bunch of apps open in the background eating your resources. OK, you can also open the Maps app, and then in the search box, you can use the dictate button. And tell her the address that way. Today, we started to leave, and I pushed the Siri Button and said: Driving directions to 2919 Beechtree Drive, Sanford, NC. She never did a thing. I did the same once again, said she was checking.
