Hello Wui,

Then you should be notified of any updates to either Safari or iTunes. If not,
then in System Preferences, go to Software Update, and check for updates.

RE: latest itunes update

2019-10-01 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Wui,

If you wish to install the latest version of iTunes on a Windows PC, in your
preferred browser, go to
https://www.apple.com/itunes/.

It is always better to install iTunes from a fresh copy rather than doing so
while the application is running.

Note to those using the enterprise, non-supported version of iTunes. Your
current install will support iOS 13.x so there is no need to update your copy
of iTunes.

Mark

RE: latest itunes update

2019-10-01 Thread Rob Armstrong
If you open iTunes on your PC or Mac, you will most likely get a dialog box
that says a new version is available. There will be a link in the dialog box
to download and install the update.

When you press the space bar or Enter on the download button it may
automatically do everything. Or it may take you to the web site where you have
to download the update.

There is a new itunes update 12.5.5. Are there any issues related to
accessibility? Can we still sync apps?

Re: Fantastic accessibility improvements with iTunes 12.5.4.42, was: Latest iTunes update and Jaws 18

2016-12-17 Thread Arianna Sepulveda
Oh, my God! I just updated to the latest version of iTunes, and the
checkboxes for picking which playlists get synced to your phone now
work just as well as they did in iTunes 11! I'm absolutely thrilled
with this development! Just for reference, I'm using iTunes with the
latest version of Windows 10 (Home edition, not the Insider build)
along with the latest version of NVDA! I'm so, so happy! I'm going to
tell Apple about this, and beg them to please keep doing whatever they
did that fixed things, and to never stop doing it! Lol. Clearly,
though, this was an iTunes issue, not a Windows 10 or screen reader
issue, as Sieghard and I figured out with our dialoguing back and
forth on this list. Anyhow, I'm super happy! I can't stop grinning!

Thanks,
Ari

I connected my iPhone and I see full accessibility restored when it comes to
selecting and syncing apps, music and tones. This has been broken for a long
time, but now Jaws once again goes into list views of artists, albums and
genres and each artist, album and genre has a checkbox which I can check by
pressing the spacebar, I can then tap to Apply and activate it and everything I
selected will sync. I tried it by selecting 5 artists and 1 album from an
artist I hadn't selected and it synced 185 songs, so you can actually mix and
match in that you could select a particular genre like POP, then you could
select a number of artists from other genres and albums from yet other genres
or from artists where you don't want to sync all albums you may have.

With apps I found that Jaws read the app in the list and it said "Installed"
for apps which I didn't have on my iPhone and "Remove" for apps I did have on
my phone.

If I went to an app which said "Install" and I pressed the spacebar it then
said "To be Installed", if the app said "Remove" then it would say "To be
removed". The only thing is that if you are way down in the list say at the
letter S or T and you press the spacebar on an app to install or remove it,
focus jumps all the way back up to the top. But once you use page down and down
arrow to get back to where you were the item was correctly marked and once
again activating Apply would install/remove whatever you flagged.

With tones the list of all my ringtones was once again read by Jaws and again
spacebar would check or uncheck the tones and activating the Apply button would
sync them.

I didn't have time yet to look at iTunes File Transfer and my Windows 10 laptop
is at home so I couldn't try it there. But this is a huge accessibility
improvement.

When I'm in the music library and have the column browser activated I still
have to refresh the screen a lot for Jaws to read my selection as I arrow
through genres, artists and albums, but it also does no longer say "L1" with
each item and all in all this is great news.

I assume that the changes are with iTunes which goes to show that it is not the
fault of Windows or the screenreader.

The version I just downloaded is 12.5.4.42.

Sieghard

Latest iTunes update and Jaws 18

2016-12-16 Thread Jerry White
After the latest update to iTunes on my Windows 7 PC, I cannot use iTunes at
all! Is anyone else having this problem? When I open iTunes, Jaws reads
the selection that is selected when the program opens. Any key I hit now
keeps giving me a "invalid script call to " whatever key I press. If I
press the tab key, then Jaws says "Invalid script call to the tab key", and
then it spells out "the tab key". Anyone else having this problem? Also,
iTunes doesn't open when I connect my iPhone anymore, but my iPhone 6 says
it is charging, so I know the cable is ok. I get the above error in iTunes
even if I open iTunes when my phone isn't connected. Any thoughts?

I did have Blind Tunes installed, and I tried uninstalling them to see if
they were conflicting somehow, but no luck!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Jerry
