message sent failure

2019-05-14 Thread Paul and Paula Jordan
Hi all. My niece has an android phone. She tried to send me a text 3
different times yesterday and got the “message sent failure” message each
time. I still occasionally get this when I send a text, but have not know
it to happen from the other end. Any thoughts? Thanks as always.

God bless!

Re: message sent failure

2019-05-14 Thread Anna Dresner
Hi,

I recently had a similar problem, and restarting my phone solved it. So you
might suggest that your niece restart hers and try again.

Best,
Anna

message sent failure not resolved

2018-11-26 Thread Paul and Paula Jordan
Hi all. Just wondering if anyone is still having issues with the “message
sent failure” bug when using siri to send a text message. It generally
occurs when I’m texting someone who has an Android Phone. I have an IPhone 7
running the latest IOS version. I’ve called Apple Care and done a re-set
network settings. The problem still exists. Any thoughts. I can live with
it, but I’d rather find a solution.

God bless!

Re: message sent failure not resolved

2018-11-27 Thread Vicki W.
I get this message each time I update the operating system, however, it says
not sent, but it really does send it.

Make sure you go into settings, messages and have both SMS and MMS turned on as
well as IMessage.

I use T-Mobile and I don't think this makes any difference.

message sent failure bug still a problem

RE: message sent failure bug still a problem

2018-11-06 Thread Mr. Ed
Hi,

I believe you are having this issue when you are trying to send a text message
using Siri to a person who has an Android phone. I found this same issue
happening when I use Siri to send a text message to my son who has an Android
pone. If you have an email text that you have tried to send to him in the text
message field and try and send another message using Siri it will send the
second one. If you clear out all your text messages and then try sending with
Siri again it will not send it. But if you send a text message bye the messages
app it will send just fine. I believe this is an issue with the new IOS 12
using Siri to send text messages to an Android device as it is trying to send
it using iMessage instead of SMS.

I have another person try this on her iPhone 7 and it did the same thing. It
would not send them using Siri to another person who has an Android.

In Settings, Messages, does it say: Send as SMS on?
Below that it explains that SMS is used when iMessage is not available. Since
Androids cannot receive iMessages this has to be on.
If it is, and still does work, I'd call Apple Accessibility.

Thanks for that one. So far, I have been able to send and receive messages with

message that did not require response, in a group text. I did turn on SMS
though.

In Settings, Messages, does it say: Send as SMS on?
Below that it explains that SMS is used when iMessage is not available. Since
Androids cannot receive iMessages this has to be on.
If it is, and still does work, I'd call Apple Accessibility.

Hi all. When I dictate a text message using Siri I almost
always get a “message sent failure” prompt. I don’t have this problem when I
type in a text message either using the onscreen keyboard or MBraille. Is
anyone else noticing this? Is there a fix? I’m running IOS 12.01 on an IPhone
7. Thanks in advance for your input.

Thanks for that one. So far, I have been able to send and receive messages with
my cousin on her Samsung, sent my son one, assume that he got it - was a
message that did not require response, in a group text. I did turn on SMS
though.

In Settings, Messages, does it say: Send as SMS on?
Below that it explains that SMS is used when iMessage is not available. Since
Androids cannot receive iMessages this has to be on.
If it is, and still does work, I'd call Apple Accessibility.

2018-11-07 Thread Paul and Paula Jordan
I'm still getting the message sent failure prompt if I use Siri to send a text.
I made sure SMS was turned on. Still get that message and have to re-send.
I've not yet updated to 12.1. Maybe that'll help. It's not a huge deal, but
it is annoying.
