Re: nearby explorer podcast and list of apps with how large in settings

2016-08-24 Thread Woody Anna Dresner
Hello,

You currently have to download maps for all of North America; you can't specify
a particular region. Being able to download fewer maps is something the
developers plan to make possible in a later version, however.

Best,
Anna

RE: nearby explorer podcast and list of apps with how large in settings

2016-08-23 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Beth,

Any music you purchased from iTunes and any apps you purchased are essentially
all in the cloud and available for you to download. You can delete any apps you
are currently not using and redownload them any time you want, once purchased
they are associated with your Apple Id and available to you unless of course a
developer takes an app off the app store. Nearby Explorer itself is not a large
app, but maps are kept offline on your phone so they take up a lot of space (I
heard 4 Gb). I am not sure if you have to download all of North America or if,
for example, you can download certain regions which would make sense since many
people may only need a relatively small region most of the time.

Hi,

This might be a stupid question, but is there a way to transfer larger apps
from my phone to the cloud and then just pull them off of the cloud when I want
to use them? Example downcast. Or the music it is stored on my phone but I've
purchased through iTunes. I want to download nearby explorer, but don't have
enough space on my phone

Thanks,

Beth
