god figured it out for me.
the field is treated as a computer braille field. What you also have to do
is change braille input to 8-dot and use dot 7 with the letter you wish to
capitalize.

I have a computer braille code list in both text and brf. If anyone is
interested.

That might work with Humanware displays, but not Orbit displays as far as I 
know.
Humanware I think were the ones who introduced that layered keystroke in their 
keysoft system.

I am having problems brailling my password on the iPhone. It seems to be 
having problems with special characters such as (~ !)  in the password.
