RE: ping ping ball in a never ending maze

2022-09-25 Thread Debby
Hi Amy,

I am afraid that I can’t be of much help, but if misery loves company, my
sister is having the exact same problem. She can not set up her comcast account
on her iPhone or Outlook. She gets a message about not having a password for
the incoming server. I have actually tried to set up her account on my iPhone
13 mini and my Outlook, and I get the same message.

One quick question, in item 9 on your list is that referring to the setting on
the iPhone or on the Xfinity site?

Yesterday, I had one idea, but it may not be right. I was thinking that maybe
for Xfinity there is one password for the site, and one password for the
setting up of email. I am wondering if for you and my sister if a password has
gotten lost. That is just a shot in the dark.

Also, this morning I was looking at the email help on Xfinity, and it kept
talking about linking accounts. I couldn’t understand what they were talking
about exactly, but they kept mentioning setting email up on iPhones and Outlook.

Also, on the Xfinity site in email there are settings. One of the settings is
this:

Ask for mailto link registration

With a link below it that says “register now.” I can’t find an explanation for
that, so I don’t know if it is relevant to the situation or not. In my email
the checkbox for that option is checked.

I have recently set up my email on another device, and it worked. So whatever
the issue you and my sister are having it is not affecting me.

Sorry I can’t be of more help, but if I run across anything, I will let you
know.

Take care and stay safe!

Debby

Asking this list for help as a last resort. This is long, so I ask for patience.

Until September 16, I could access my Comcast email on my iPhone 13 Pro without
difficulty.

When I obtained my iPhone 14 Pro, I initially transferred from my iPhone 13 Pro
to the new phone but noted I could no longer access my Xfinity email from
either phone.

I have done the following.

1. I contacted Apple.
2. We did diagnostic tests, wiped the phone clean, and set it up again,
all to no avail.
3. I also noted that I could no longer get my mail using Outlook 365,
although I had not made any changes.
4. I contacted Xfinity, spent 2 hours waiting and another 2 hours on the
phone with them. We verified that I could sign into the Xfinity website, but
could not read my email messages.
5. I was told to, and did contact the accessibility department at Xfinity,
even though I knew this was not an accessibility issue.
6. Accessibility at Xfinity verified that I needed to use Outlook or my
phone to access my email.
7. I called Xfinity again and spent the next 3 hours bouncing from one
person to the next. One person did not know what the word “blind” meant and
decided I needed to go to accessibility again after I defined it for him.
8. I have don the following to try and fix the problem: re-set my iPhone
to factory defaults, Reset network settings 3 times, deleted and re-enabled my
account at least 5 times. Changed my password at the suggestion of one Xfinity
representative.
9. I continue to get the error message when creating my account using the
native mail app on my iPhone. “No password provided for Comcast. Please go to
settings, mail, and create a password.” When I do that, my password is there.
10. Xfinity tells me to contact Apple again.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Amy

Hi

There are the impulsecontroller units that can also be used as a key

The units have also charged at least once in a month so it isn't very

Hi, Is there any company that makes an app that has small physical objects
that can be made to make a noise so as to locate them? I used to have
something like this, but it was not an app. You had a small box that was a
transmitter and several small receiver objects you could attach to things
like a water bottle and you could press a button and cause the module
attached to the water bottle Etc. to make a noise. Is there such a thing
that can be interfaced with the iPhone?

Thanks.

Hi,

Check out Tile http://www.thetileapp.com/
I backed this company when they were first looking for funding because
I thought the technology sounded promissing and whilst they're not
shipping orders yet, they seem to have come a long way since I first
read about them.

The usual disclaimor for untested software applies here; since the
Tiles aren't shipping yet, I can't vouch for the accessibility of the
app.

Cheers,
Ben.

Re: Blindfold Ping Pong.

2012-05-25 Thread Teresa Cochran
Yes, I have the game. You simply swing the device as you would swing the

practice.

Re: ping

2012-05-04 Thread Kevin Barry

called Ping with what is more generally called ping.
That is sending and receiving test bits over the net to diagnose
connection problems among other things.
