problem with voice over and editing emails

2013-11-07 Thread Pablo Morales
HI all.
I don't know if somebody else has noticed that when we are responding an
email, without bluetooth keyboard, just with the virtual keyboard, or with hand
writing, the focus or cursor of voice over moves around, losing where we were
typing. For example, if I want to modify a word, and I select with the rotor
characters, and I flick up or down,, some times voice over jumps to another
place of the screen. I don't know what I am doing wrong, but is very hard to
edit an email using the virtual keyboard, or the hand writing feature. Anybody
noticed it with the Ios 7.x?
Tanks
Pablo

Re: problem with voice over and editing emails

2013-11-07 Thread Alex Hall
It sounds like you are accidentally touching the screen instead of flicking. In
iOS7, the message body takes up just about the entire screen, so that touching
anywhere will cause your cursor to move. Try doing all gestures on the
keyboard, so that the worst you’ll get is an extra character instead of your
cursor moving.

Re: problem with voice over and editing emails

2013-11-07 Thread Pablo Morales
Nope, I don't think so, because when I started to notice it, it was the first
idea that came to my head, I am touching the screen with my other hand, or my
flick is to slow, or something is happening, but after try several times, and
with my phone on the table, is not reason to make an accidental movement. Any
way, I remember that I saw somebody else saying something like this on the list
days ago. I don't remember who was, but I remember that in that email, the
person reported a problem like this. The focus of voice over jump to the wrong
place every time, and is difficult to type or navigate, on the emails.
Now, could be something with the sencibility of the screen?

Re: problem with voice over and editing emails

2013-11-08 Thread Lea Langley
Hi all, something that may help with this problem is if you were to say in the
subject of the message you finish putting in your subject hit the return key.
That will take you to the message body. Voice over does seem to lose focus, and
I don't know why either but I have also noticed this problem. God bless, Wren

Hi all, something that may help with this problem is if you were to say in
the subject of the message you finish putting in your subject hit the return
key. That will take you to the message body. Voice over does seem to lose
focus, and I don't know why either but I have also noticed this problem. God
bless, Wren

It sounds like you are accidentally touching the screen instead of
flicking. In iOS7, the message body takes up just about the entire
screen, so that touching anywhere will cause your cursor to move. Try
doing all gestures on the keyboard, so that the worst you’ll get is an
extra character instead of your cursor moving.

and I select with the rotor characters, and I flick up or down,, some
times voice over jumps to another place of the screen. I don't know
what I am doing wrong, but is very hard to edit an email using the
virtual keyboard, or the hand writing feature. Anybody noticed it with
the Ios 7.x?

Hi wrote about this issue late last week as well, and I am still having this

And I also am using a BT keyboard with the phone flat on a desk and I'm not
touching it at all.

More fun with IOS7 I suppose, but it's very frustrating.
