Confirmed on the iPhone 6 running iOS 8.0.2. I double tap the search box, swipe right to the Clear Text button and double tap it a couple of times until I hear the bonk telling me that it has been cleared, and my focus is placed back in the text box. At times I am able to enter text in the edit box even though VoiceOver speaks the text that was there before. In these situations, not sure if the prior text was actually cleared or not. Hi, At times i cant seem to clear a search query from the appstore neither by doing clear text nor by manually deleting characters. I have not tried a bt keyboard yet but this does happen with the onscreen keyboard at least. Restarting the phone does seem to fix it. Another way you can address this problem is to close the app store and reopen the app store when you are ready to do a new search. This is the only work around I have found so far to work.
