It takes around 3 hours to totally recharge the keyboard case's internal battery. I send and receive a lot of email and a full charge on the battery will last about 2 to 3 weeks before needing to be recharged. That's the good news. The bad news is, you'll be typing and all of a sudden the battery dies and your there wondering just what happened. The only iPad I can speak about is the iPad Air which I have. It's rated at 10 hours battery life. Not doing anything other then email and web browsing, it could last a little longer then that.
