The TC conference app
Hi there, so here is my situation. I have this app which is the TC conference app. And whenever I go into one of the rooms on the accessible world site, I echo. I am using an iPhone 7 with the latest update. I have tried this with my earbuds and without them. If anybody has any tips I would sure appreciate it and thank you. Simply put, the iPhone does not really work with Talking Communities. Don't bother trying, because it will just be a frustrating experience. Hello, I am able to enter the Pat Price room using tc conference. Is it possible to see the participants in the room,? I don’t see a talk button. Is the app used for listening only? Any information on how to use the tc conference app is appreciated. Yes this is the way it should work, some people are having problems where the room id field is not being populated. When you go to the accessibleworld.org web site and enter in to one of the tcconference rooms the links given in a previous message on this thread are the links being used. So if the room id field field is not populated then you can look at the end of the link to add it yourself. I'm told an update has been pushed to the app store fixing this problem. If you click on the link on your phone, it should open the app. If not, the Room ID is the stuff following RSC in the below links. TC Conference App Question
Hi Everyone, Recently I tried to attend one of the Accessible World Tech Talk programs using the iPhone App for TC Conference. I was never able to get into the conference room I wanted, because I kept getting prompted for a room ID. I had been told I didn't need a password, so I skipped that step, but I couldn't get past that screen! Every time I pressed enter on if memory serves, "Submit," I kept being told that I hadn't entered a room ID or password. I did put my name in the user name field. Unfortunately, you have to start the process by going to the site using Safari. i hope that at some point you can just use the app without having to start out by going to the site using Safari. Then an option to open it in the tc conference app, which I double tapped on. When I got to the next screen, in the app, the room ID did include the rsc and it had the IP address already filled in. Hello, The TCConference app is an app for iPhone/iPads allowing the user to be able to listen to live seminars presented by the Hadley School for the Blind. Send an email message to helpd...@hadley.edu to request the server name and room ID if you are interested in listening to Hadley seminars on an iDevice. This app will not work on an Android phone or tablet. Hi, I used this app a couple of times to access the Books and Beyond room on the Accessibleworld site. Here is information on the app and how to enter the room id that I found in the App store. After that information are some of my own notes. 1. Install the tcConference app from the App Store. 2. Launch the app. You will be asked for the following: list of 4 items nesting level 1 3. Server - The IP address or the domain name for the server - see below. 4. Room ID - The 14-character id for the room - see below. 5. Username - This is free form; however, your host may have additional rules you need to follow. 6. Password (if required). list end nesting level 1 7. Click the Co-Browse tab to view the co-browser content or click the Chat/Voice tab to view or submit text chat messages, and to activate the Talk button. list end How To Speak list of 4 items 1. Click the Text Chat tab to bring the Text Chat window into focus. 2. Click the Talk button - the button label will change to Stop. If someone is already speaking, the button will first change to Wait and then, when it is your turn to speak, change to Stop. 3. Begin talking. 4. When you have finished talking, click the Stop button - the button label will change back to Talk. list end Finding the Server and Room ID Information Usually this information will be provided by the conference room administrator/owner, or by your host. If you have access to a room login URL (i.e. a link on a web page) you can use that URL to determine to values for Server and Room ID. The format of the URL will be similar to www.conference321.com/masteradmin/room.asp?id=rs8c812f0bdc37 (if you have a different room login URL format, the room will have been set up to use a custom login process, and you will need to contact the room administrator/owner for the required information). The domain name - e.g www.conference321.com - is the server value you'll need, and the 14 characters located after the id= is the room ID you'll need. Note: If you know the IP address of the domain name, you can use that address for the Server value. App Updates From time to time new versions of the app will be made available. These new versions will fix bugs, add new features or both. To determine if a new version is available, go to the App Store and search for tcConference. If a new version is available, UPDATE will be displayed in top right corner. Click UPDATE and follow the prompts to install the new app. Was this article helpful?
