Larry,

At the bottom right corner of the Alexa app is the More button. This is the 
fifth or last button on the bottomline toolbar. Execute it and swipe on the 
screen that opens until you reach Settings and double tap. The very last line 
of the screen that opens should say something like Not Larry?, double tap to 
sign out.

I'm doing this on an iPhone and hope it is the same on an iPad.
