I would wait at least 3 or 4 days before you upgrade to iOS 8. First of all
the servers will be very busy for at least that long and the upgrade
experience may not be so good with things timing out and so on.
As for iOS 8 bugs there will be plenty of information on Wednesday, I would
definitely check Applevis.com and also look out for anything posted on the
list by Jonathan Mosen and of course as people upgrade and run into these
bugs they will post as to how bad they feel this is.
I have no idea if KNFB Reader will come out together with iOS 8 on Wednesday
or if it takes them a couple of days or a couple of weeks or a couple of
months after iOS 8 comes out to release it. But I'm pretty sure it will work
just fine on iOS 7. I will buy the app, but the reasons they are giving for
delaying the rlease are pretty lame as far as I am concerned. Yes, maybe iOS
8 gives them more control over the camera, but the beta has been available
to them since early June which was way before the conference where they
announced it would be out by late August. They should have maybe thought
about this then and decided whether they would only support iOS 8 and
announce the release accordingly. Some of the comments Jim what's hi sname
made in some of the Podcasts were pretty inaccurate and I'm surprised he is
so uninformed.

I just had a quick question. If this has already been addressed, could
someone please refer me to the topic link? My question is: How long does
everyone think is long enough to wait before updating to Ios 8, to determine
what bugs and problems others have that have decided to update right away?
And regarding knfb reader, do I necessarily have to update first, or is this
just a suggestion for optimal functionality and will still work ok with 7?
