voice dream reader and blind mice movies

2014-06-29 Thread 'Candy' via VIPhone

Hello everyone,
I am still trying to download a dvs movie from blind mice movie vault
with voice dream reader. I just can't seem to get it to work. I go
through all of the steps, but, at the end, there is no movie to be
found. It doesn't appearin the folders where all of the books
appearwhen I download them from bookshare. I have been able to download
the movies with the IOs downloaded, but, thought I would have more
control with voice dream reader. The IOs downloaded does not give me
too much control when playing the movie back. I am open for any
suggestions. I know that I can download the movies to my computer and
then transfer them to my phone, but, I need to have the option of
getting them on my phone with the apps when I am not at home with my
computer. Any help is appreciated.
I also had a fair amount of success with the UbiDisk app, but the
problem I have with this app is the control in the player when listening
to a movie. For instance, voice over will say, one per cent, swipe up
or down to change the value. This is while the movie is playing, I
swipe up or down, and nothing.

2014-06-29 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Candy,

As far as Ubidisk is concerned, try a pass-through gesture first on your
playback slider first, i.e. do a double tap and hold when it says 1%, then
carefully slide left or right without lifting your finger first. Quite often
this will work if a more Voiceover oriented gesture does not.

Sieghard

I remember someone writing about this earlier, and they said that they copied
the Sendspace link into the clipboard after tapping on the movie title in the
Blind Mice Movie Vault. There's actually a download link that you need to copy
to the clipboard after the Sendspace page opens. I hope this makes sense.

After you find the movie or episode of a tv show you want to download:
Double tap on the first download link,
On the next page, look for the link that looks like this:
Click here to start download from sendspace, download 01 - 10 the good wife -
Lifeguard.mp3 Link download 01 - 10 the good wife - Lifeguard.mp3
Then, double-tap and hold on that link until you get the sounds that indicate a
pop-up and flicck right until you get to copy and double tap.
Then go to Voice Dream and double tap on add, then double tap on web browser,
and paste that link into the text field and hit the Go button in the lower
right-hand corner.

Then, plan on waiting a while, perhaps a long while.

Another thing that you can do is to create a movies folder on a dropbox
account. Then you can transfer the movies from your Dropbox to your Voice Dream
reader application.

Re: voice dream reader and blind mice movies

2014-06-29 Thread Joseph FreeTech
While it took me a bit of time to also figure out what Richard conveyed
below, for Candy or anyone else looking to do something similar, I suggest
making life much easier by simply downloading the content of interest from
the BlindMice website then using iTunes to transfer to your iPhone some 10
or 20 different files all at once. Using Filer and Downloader? and alike can
get very slow and very tedious even after creating bookmarks and such in an
attempt to streamline the process. There is also a checkbox to be aware of
when downloading from SendSpace; I don't know how it will effect iOS
devices, but I would make sure to read the entire page to insure it is
unchecked, or you will end up with possibly unwanted junk on your iOS device
as would be the case on a desktop computer.

If anything, I found the entire process quite easy using UbiDisk--especially
after creating a bookmark to the BlindMice website; it's just playing the
file using UbiDisk I don't like. It is possible to advance through an audio
file by double tapping and holding, then slowly moving one's index finger in
a very straight upward direction--You will hear 2%, 5%, 11% X%, Y% etc. To
play and pause is of course a 2 finger double-tap. The whole process was
seemingly 100% accessible.

Joseph
