Especially as Jony Ive himself said that it did contain a speaker. I
really don't see what the speculation is about; short of one of us
having the watch in our hands, we're as sure as we can be that it has
VoiceOver.

Re: voiceover on the watch

2015-01-16 Thread David Chittenden
Considering that 1) information posted about Apple Watch according to iOS 8.2
has VoiceOver on the watch itself, and 2) Apple received a pattent for glass
which also acts as a speaker that is reportedly fully functioning in Korning
(the manufacturers of Guerilla Glass) labs, this glass is expected to be
incorporated on the Apple Watch. Therefore, reports of no speaker in the watch
may not be relavent.

Hi Benn and all. I have a friend who works for apple, and I sent him a email

read however, it seems that all voice has to come from your phone not the

voiceover on the watch

2015-01-14 Thread Trea Abma
• Like Apple’s other products, Apple Watch will have a series of key
accessibility features.
• To access Accessibility Settings on the fly, users will triple-click the
Digital Crown.
• The Apple Watch will have a VoiceOver feature that can speak text that is
displayed on the screen. Users will be able to scroll through text to be spoken
using two fingers. VoiceOver can be enabled either by merely raising a wrist or
by double tapping the display.
• Users will also be able to zoom on the Apple Watch’s screen: double tap with
two fingers to zoom, use two fingers to pan around, and double tap while
dragging to adjust the zoom.
• There will also be accessibility settings to reduce motion, control stereo
audio balance, reduce transparency, switch to grayscale mode, disable system
animations, and enable bold text.
