what's the email to report an accessibility problem to Apple?

2016-12-10 Thread Chip Orange
Can someone give me the email to use in order to report a possible IOS
accessibility issue to Apple?

Thanks,

Chip

2016-12-11 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Chip,

What problem are you planning to report? I find it’s often a good idea to also
post it to the list and in fact I sometimes post something to the list and CC
Apple Accessibility on it or vice versa since sometimes what I think might be a
bug is something others don’t experience, have a fix for or in some cases Apple
may have changed how something is supposed to work and it may appear as a bug
when it is not. I am not saying this is the case with your issue, but if you
let the list know then others can try to reproduce it as well and add their
voice to yours in reporting it.

problem with Alexa app and VO; was what's the email to report an accessibility problem to Apple?

2016-12-11 Thread Chip Orange
Hi Sieghard,

Good point, so I’ll mention it here: I and my wife and constantly making use
of the Amazon Echo feature which lets you create shopping lists. My problem
with VO is that when I use the Alexa app on the Iphone, and try to take items
off of the list once purchased (by tapping the checkbox next to the item), most
of the time the checkbox remains unchecked. Rarely it will changed to
“checked” status, but it’s completely random.

I’ve written to Amazon a couple of times, and called them on the phone once,
and they’ve told me their testing hasn’t turned up any issues with the app; so,
I’ll write Apple to see if it’s a VO problem instead of an Alexa app problem.

Anyone have any ideas? Can anyone else duplicate this?

Thanks,

Chip

Re: problem with Alexa app and VO; was what's the email to report an accessibility problem to Apple?

2016-12-11 Thread Dan
Hello,
For what it's worth, this is how I usually use the Alexa App on my iPhone 6S
Plus iOS 10.1.1.
This is how I activate links or check boxes.
I double Tap, I hold the tap for a second or so and it usually works. But if I
tap quickly and release my finger, usually things won't work. I have also
spoken to Amazon and filled out the feedback form, but??
Just my thoughts on the subject.

The amazon alexa app nees some work, there are big time focus problems with
voice over. I bet they are not testing it with voice over on using the voice
over gestures etc.

RE: problem with Alexa app and VO; was what's the email to report an accessibility problem to Apple?

2016-12-12 Thread Jim Ruby
Hi, I have also filled out the feedback form, but it is amazon. Probably will
be fixed in ten years to never.

Anyone have any ideas? Can anyone else duplicate this?

Yes, it does help! However, it’s like having to use the pass-through jesture
