RE: Problems with VNC and USB mouse

2003-12-16 Thread Mark Hauchwitz
I exactly know what you're talking about, I'm having the same problems and
no solution yet.

VNC is configured correctly, and there is neither the Alt nor the Ctrl key
locked.
Mouse clicks only work within the taskbar, every other window loses the
focus if you click on it and basically no mouse click works.

I experienced that sometimes a right click immediately followed by a left
click temporarily solves the problem, but that's not a work-around.

The problem occurred after I installed a new USB wireless mouse, but since
I'm 5000 miles away from that pc now, I can't verify that it's the mouse by
reinstalling the old one/another one.

I'm also having the same problem with UltraVNC.

Mark.

RE: WinXP - windows loose focus with mouseclick, only startmenu works

2003-12-02 Thread Mark Hauchwitz
Hi again,

no luck with pressing and releasing them on the client side, neither with
sending ctrl down/up and atl down/up to the vnc server.
It seems that the vnc server service detects the mouse click but can't
forward the event to Windows (explorer). The application windows just loose
focus if you click on them...

Check that the Ctrl or Alt keys aren't "stuck" - press and release them
while VNC is running and then try clicking on windows again to highlight
them.

WinXP - windows loose focus with mouseclick, only startmenu works

2003-12-02 Thread Mark Hauchwitz
Hi all!

I have VNC 3.3.7 installed on 2 WinXP Pro machines.

Accessing via the VNC client works fine, but I can't use my mouse buttons.

They will only work to give focus to (click on) applications shown in the
task bar. Anything else looses focus when I click on it (windows, buttons,
input fields, icons).

That problem bugs me,

Does anyone have a solution for that problem or is it a known bug?

Thanks,

Mark.
