Yes, make sure the default settings are set.

Subject: XP Pro with password protected screensaver problem

I am running VNC 3.3.7 on WinXP Pro as a service with fast user
switching and remote desktop disabled. The system has the default WinXP
screen saver running with a password required on resume. I can connect
to the WinXP box with VNC viewer from a Win98 box. However. if the
screen saver is running on the WinXP machine, I cannot connect. If I
have a session running and the screen saver on the WinXP kicks in, I can
watch the screen saver on the remote machine, but as soon as I move the
mouse (on the host or remote machine) the session is lost. If the screen
saver is running on the host machine, I cannot connect with VNC from the
remote machine. Any ideas people may have on how to solve this problem
will be appreciated.
